Captain Hook was a dude best known for, well, having a hook hand, one serious pencil ‘stache, and a fear of crocodiles. Things we wouldn’t associate the guy with: screen printed flannel shirts. But it’s 2014 and thanks to a collaborative effort between Neff and, yes, Disney itself, the notorious bad guy is getting his own set of menswear gear. Titled the “Disney Villains” collection, the offering utilizes the rising streetwear aesthetic of sports jersey lettering and numbering on anything and everything, from socks to snapbacks. What T-shirts, dip-dye, or the numbers “00” have to do with the classic tale of Peter Pan is beyond us (0 time passes in Neverland, maybe?), but one thing is for sure—this once niche look has officially gone very, very mainstream.
