The Garden City Chamber was pleased to welcome two new businesses to Seventh Street recently. A ribbon cutting was held to welcome Madison’s Niche to o186 Seventh Street. In 2011, Karen McAvoy, owner, opened the first Madison’s Niche in Hunting Village . She brought some of the unique and best selling products from her original store, Four Star, the home store in Sayville. At Madison Niche, one will find everything from unique home d├ęcor to designer apparel, beautiful jewelry and gifts. With over 25 years of experience, Karen felt the need to bring the style she is so passionate about to Garden City. Karen notes: When shopping at Madison’s Niche, it’s not just shopping, it’s an experience!”

The same week, the Chamber welcomed the New York Running Company to 191 Seventh Street. “New York Running Company is proud to be joining the Garden City community. The Village has a very active population with great local high school and college teams, and even hosts a storied race with the Garden City Turkey Trot, so it seemed to be a natural fit for our running and fitness store,” said Mary Arnold, Community Outreach Coordinator. “With our video gait analysis, we can help find the perfect for every active lifestyle. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are local athletes who can advise customers on the right gear, races and more. Each week, we offer free group runs, social events and even training programs to keep our customers fit and motivated.”
