North Dakota man finds niche with Google

Craig McFadden was always interested in the intersection of business and technology.

After graduating from Cavalier High School in 2005, McFadden moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend college at Stanford.

While in school McFadden interned for YouTube, which was a small start-up at the time. He started full-time at Google, which bought YouTube in 2006, in 2009 after graduating with a degree in economics.

McFadden now works on YouTube music partnerships, doing things such as livestreaming music festivals and managing relationships with artists. He said the best part of his job is seeing how happy people are when they are able to watch their favorite band play a concert online.
